Taste of West 'O' 2008 - Omaha, NE
posted by snekse

Just a quick reminder - the Taste of West "O" is this weekend. Not to be confused with the hugely disappointing Taste of "Omaha". (UPDATE: Pics are available now from Sataurday)

The Taste of West "O" (AKA "Westfest") is only in it's second year, but last year's event was well worth the trip. The food vendors are mostly good, independent local restaurants and the prices are very reasonable. The "Best of Taste Item" at each booth featured a dish for just 2 tickets (UPDATE: They were 3 tickets this year). This was usually the way to go for most spots that tried to offer a signature item at that price point. Hopefully this year will offer the same value and food selection as their inaugural event. Here's a partial list of some of the better vendors who will be there.
Roja
Blue
Bianco
Colton's Wood Fired Grill
McKenna's Blues, Booze & BBQ
Tas's Thai Pepper Cuisine
Kona Grill
7 Monkey's
Maid-Rite
Nebraska Brewing Company
The Tasting Room
Firewater Grille
Le Voltaire
Two Fine Irishmen
Johnny's Italian Steakhouse
Bella Vita
Boyd & Charlie's BBQ
Halal Meats & Kabobs

  • I just found your site doing a search for Dario's Brasserie. I'm very excited. I love food and I love eating locally (especially on the East side) I'll get the word out, keep it up!

  • We're glad you like the site. Hopefully you found our review of Dario's Brasserie without to many problems? If you had a hard time finding it, please let us know. It will help us improve the usability of the site during our redesign.

  • I wouldn't say I had a hard time finding it, but I took a roundabout way. I googled 'restaurants in dundee omaha ne' then clicked on 'more results' and dario's was listed on the 4th page of entries. I clicked on the Dario's link and your site was listed on the 'Overview' page. not sure if that helps, but that's how I found you.
